Construction Details:

I love Setsuna's character to pieces, or else I probably wouldn't have thrown myself into making his Season 2 uniform. I was really afraid I wouldn't be able to pull off S2 Setsuna, as he has a more mature look than in the first season, but I did my best. This costume had been mostly made before Katsucon 09 but needed touch ups, so I was only able to premiere him at Anime Next 09. It was worth the wait, I enjoy cosplaying him so much! The most difficult part was finding a good color combination that matched up to my reference pics in the appropriate fabrics. I did the best I could with what I could find. The shirt was one of my first experiences with stretchy fabrics, and I learned a lot from it. The jacket took some tweaking, and the fabric type wasn't my first choice, but in the end it did its job! The pants were made by my friend Sarah, who I am ETERNALLY grateful to. Now that I have more stretch fabric experience under my belt I hope to remake them myself eventually. And then there's the box =P Obviously that was the hardest part of the costume ;-) Unfortunately when this batch of pictures were taken, my eyes were bothering me and I could not wear my colored contacts for Setsuna. Hopefully I still captured his calm and serious expressions!
