I really love how this came out and I had SO much fun wearing it for the first time at ACen and it was great meeting so many amazing people! There was ALOT of effort put into it because I am a bit of a perfectionist, haha. I didn't do it all by myself though, I had a bunch of help from my loving family, friends and fellow cosplayers. Yay team effort! I'm going to go into a little detail how it was made so that maybe it will help the next person trying to cosplay as eureka! If you have better ideas that's perfectly fine too and go ahead and share it. I bought the boots (which were originally cow boy boots) from an online store, cut some straps off, hand painted them with acyrlic and sprayed a finishing matte spray paint to make sure it doesn't chip so much. Then I bought a zipper, cut it and hot glued it on the front. The necklace I bought from michael's arts and crafts. It was a foam christmas decoration to make your own wreath and hang outside your door and it was very green lol We cut it in half, put magnets into the ends, covered it with paper clay, sanded it down smooth and spray painted it gold. I felt like I was wearing a donut on my neck haha. The pouch was an old plastic tupperwear that we cut up and hot glued into a proper shape. Then we covered it in paper clay, hand painted it and hot glued the fabric strap stuff on. The only sad thing was that it wasn't a real working pouch, which would have been real useful to hold my badge in and stuff.. oh well. The hair clips were bought from Walmart and we combinded two hair clips using metal sheet, paper clay and of course lots of gold spray paint. Well I'm going to end my rant about my Eureka outfit here for now. If anyone wants to know more, I can always add more information here or if you message me I can just tell you about it as well.
