Construction Details:

I hand made the Obi sash and tied it myself in the simple butterfly style. I looked for months and months and could only ever find a kitchy picnic blanket print, dorothy-dress stylie and it really looked like nothing more than a table cloth so I bit the bullet and hand died the sash in the right checked pattern in red. I had to back the face of it so it didn't slip and scrunch during the con. Spending so much time on the sash didn't leave much room for anything else so unfortunately, although it looks alright, it is only one layer of purple silk with a faulse layer of red added at the last seccond. If I get a chance to bring this costume back out and work on it I will definately be looking to enhance it by actually creating a seccond jacket of red to put underneath. I refused to cut my hair which I know very well betrays the devotion to the character. The wig I used at the first con I displayed this cos-play was ruined by the time I tried using it again so I just let it down for the seccond one (sorry to die harders) If I do it a third time I will get another, hopefully better wig. The head piece was also something I hand sewed and constructed with agony and it broke after wearing it for Sakura Con 07. I will have to make a new one. This was my first Cos play and I am very proud of it.
