Construction Details:

This costume was among the first I ever wanted to do when I got into anime, and I'd been working on collecting materials and skills for it since 2002. I'm so glad I waited to make it until I was technically skilled enough- it turned out quite well and was as accurate as I could make it- right down to the seam placement and the way her collar rolls out. I used a metallic red spandex for the entire costume, and backed it with stiff material for the jacket and corset. My favorite part of the costume is the jacket, which has awesome details- the shoulder targets, shoulder blade armor, and sweet quilted collar. I feel like a rock star in this!
