Construction Details:

Costume isn't really very well made (i.e. sometime during the gathering the seams ripped a little on the sides HAHAHAH;;;; good thing for photoshop o3o) but it was a simple costume that was made in 3 hours. Dark purple linen for the off-shoulder top and a broadcloth-type off-white fabric was used for the head scarf. The gray leggings were store-bought and something I already had in my closet. I had black chinese kung-fu style shoes as well as purple embroidered silk slippers that could go with the outfit but I forgot to bring them in my haste, and just went with flip flops instead, which I took off for most of the photographs and just went barefoot =) I wrapped gauze bandages and secured it with sports tape so that they would show under the holes in the sleeves. Personal Thoughts:

Sort of a last-minute closet cosplay for a gathering, because the wig for the costume I was originally planning on wearing didn't come in time. I really like Anita's character though, so this prompted me to choose to cosplay her. When I decided to do this costume my hair was actually cut in the same style as hers, except the bangs on the forehead are longer, so I chose the outfit she wears on the ship in the anime since the head scarf covers up her bangs :D Since I love the character so much I plan on making her fancy schmancy "princess" outfit in the near future, the elaborate Chinese style dress she's wearing when you first see her in the manga/anime.
