Construction Details:

Naruto villains have pretty cool character designs. My friends and I decided to cosplay members of the Akatsuki. I chose to cosplay Sasori. This costume is now retired. Since Sasori is a man and has a bare chest, (and I am obviously not a man) I decided to use flesh-colored spandex to fake the bare chested look. I wrapped "strings" around my stomach and let part of it hang through an opening in the shirt to look like they are coming from inside the body. My wig was a little too bright red for Sasori but it was all I could find, plus at the time when I was making this costume Sasori did not have an official hair color yet. Tranquility made everyone's cloaks, and they turned out so awesome! Our group won Best Small Group in the costume contest at Metrocon 2006. It was my first time winning an award in contest, and it was awesome!
