Construction Details:

I made this costume with my mother--the last one we did together before she passed away. She did much of the sewing, while I did the headpiece engineering, painting and other grunt work. The neck stole has red cording stitched and glued for texture and the dress has the same cording stitched into raised channels to match the details from the movie dress. The domes used to light up but I have since removed the light rigging for fear of the battery packs corroding on to the costume. The painting on the long stole is badly done, but I didn't have the patience to embroider the piece to be more accurate when I was making the costume.

Personal Thoughts:

Needs some minor repairs and I need to lose some weight, but I would LOVE to get back into this costume sometime. Maybe I'll have to redo it eventually and fix some mistakes. I have someone wanting to be my handmaiden. Maybe I'll revist this soon, do some updates and make it Rebel Legion worthy.
