Construction Details:

This costume is by far my most ambitious project to date. The entire costume took about 6 months to make, though a good portion of it was made within a month, due to the fact that I am a horrible procrastinator. This was also my first attempt with historical costuming, as the underpinnings (stays and pocket hoops) are constructed from historically accurate costumes. I did a lot of research with this costume, and tried to achieve a balance between movie and historical accuracy, as well as attempting to not completely break the bank, which I was not quite as successful with, as this costume cost me over $600.

Personal Thoughts:

This is by far one of my favorite costumes. Elizabeth Swann is one of my all-time favorite characters, and I feel so elegant wearing this dress.
