Construction Details:

I made this costume out of stretch poplin because I bought 6 yards of it to do a coat for a group that never happened. :P The group never happened, because the evil people at the store told me that I was getting the same red poplin they always carry, and it turns out my friend who I was supposed to match had a different shade of red (but bought it from the same place :P) The costume is comfortable, but the poplin is a bit icky at times, yet I love the way it flows / drapes / and blows in the breeze. The bloomers and apron are made from random gabardine that I found in my room. Apparently, I thought it was a good idea to get this stuff, before I had a serger. Stuff frays like all get-out, so do yourself a favor and avoid working with it, unless you can serge the ends before-hand. This is why I got a serger, then finally used this stuff. The patterns were drafted by me (Not the best patterns, but I'm learning!) and the shoes were made using matching fabric. I love them.
