When I read the manga, I love Zakuro! When I finally got around to see the anime, I loved her more. This and a group of friends were wanting to do a cosplay group of all of 'em and I chose Zakuro. This was planned a few years back, and I know of only a couple that have finished theirs, but we haven't been able to wear them together. This is one costume that I made myself. I used a pair of shorts that I had for a pattern and based the top off a bra. I know alot of people dislike shiny satiny material, but I wanted to use it for this magical girl costume and I didn't really care. The wig I got was a little to short, but I love the color and I was able to sew the ears onto the wig. I even made the tags on the collars for each member of the group, I made it out of wood and then painted them, and attached an eye hole screw to attach it to the collar. I know I'm a little chubby to be wearing this costume, but you know what? I don't care. I had this costume mostly made for nearly a year - working on making it better once in a while - I finally got to get it out of the closet (and got over my self consciousness a little) and wore it at Akon 17(2006).
