Construction Details:

This costume was put together rather quickly, so it could be better. The correct wig did not arrive in time! I used a lot of leftover materials for this outfit. My favorite part has to be the hair bow, which looks very accurate and cartoony. I shaped Wonderflex into the shape of the bow and slid a tube of cotton fabric over it. It pins onto the wig. The red bustier is made from Kona cotton, with bias tape and knit fabric appliques creating the details. It has clear straps attached to it. The bloomers were recycled, and the blue grosgrain ribbon tacked on. The jacket and arm warmers were made from leftover Casa Satin, with the ruffles all hand gathered. The wings were a mix of Wonderflex and foam sheets to give a cartoony look. I did find white Mary Jane shoes, but they scuffed right away!
