Construction Details:

Used iron-on vinyl for the text on Deku's shirt.

Used Kryolan UV-DAYGLO Aqua Color (water-activated face paint) in UV-red for the glowy-red-OFA lines.

Contact lenses: Phantasee UV Glow Crazy Lens Green.

And the black light was a regular-sized bulb you can get at any store that sells light bulbs.



Painting the OFA lines was easy enough, since the paint works like water-colors. The hardest part of this costume was styling the wig.

Styling Notes

I had previously bought a Deku eBay wig that had bright green on top and black on bottom, and I thought, 'Why not combine the two wigs to add depth to the Epic wig?' So I did. I wefted the entire eBay wig into the Epic wig, which took a good few hours. As for the rest of the styling: 1) Fluff with hairdryer. 2) Tease all over. 3) Separate bangs to trim and style separately in step #8. 4) Trim to desired length. 5) Pin curl the fibers that are long enough to pin curl. 6) Steam pin curls, then blow with hairdryer. Let sit until cool and dry. 7) Take out pin curls. Fluff with fingers. Hairspray. 8) Put on wig and trim and style bangs to fit your face. 9) HAIRSPRAY.

Wig Review

The wig was really fluffy! And a unique shade of greens made out of many different colors of green. I didn't NEED to weft an entire second wig into it, but I had an extra wig and wanted the colors from both to mix.
