Construction Details:

The base of this pattern was a Yaya Han pattern for a jacket dress. From that pattern, I altered it so it had the top from one pattern version and the bottom from an alternate pattern version. It's heavily interfaced because I wanted it to reflect a First Order officer's uniform. The patches are custom from a friend. The decals on the bottom are custom made with pleather in different colors. I made them each on a backing of the same fabric, so I could make each decal in one piece and then just sew the edges to the main dress. The hat is custom patterned and decorated with the same pleather. The entire dress is lined in red as well, with shoulder pads, because shoulder pads

Personal Thoughts:

My roommate Cancerously had made her BB-8 cosplay back when TFA came out, so once TLJ was announced and we saw there was a little dark side version, well...we know our types. I immediately set to make it and finally finished for Katsucon 2018. It's so nice to have a casual star wars cosplay that makes people so happy!
