Construction Details:

I believe this combined 3 patterns. Simplicity 1314 (modified) for the top, Mccalls 7503 for the skirt, and I think Simplicity 8160 for the sleeve. I used Firefly path's princess sleeve tutorial as a guide for the slashes.
A decision I had to make early on was if I wanted the skirt A line or gathered. The way the skirt behaves in the game is physically impossible. In the end I went with an A line flair. One of my biggest frustrations with this costume was finding the red fabric. I had some perfect matte red satin left over from a previous project, but needed just a little more. Joanns lied and said they had some in stock. Nothing, online or in store. Sadly I had to move on from my satin. In the end I used some peach skin. It flows pretty, but doesn't have the structure I wanted. Anywho...
The gold squares are taffeta that was heat bonded on. I bought all the pearls, grommets, and hearts from ebay. There are so many details in this. I learned a lot from this project and still have so much to learn.

Personal Thoughts:

Nicknamed the 'trim monster.' I had to go buy more trim 3 times. 14 yards of the gold alone. Useless fact: there are 7 types of trim on this. All sewed by hand. So much damn trim.
