Construction Details:

The dress is three layers--one is a shiny charmeuse, one is a more matte baby pink organza, and the outer layer is hot pink organza. The skirt is a triple layer double circle skirt. It practically ate the petticoat I was wearing under it, there wasn't much point. The bodice was two frankensteined together. I combined a sweetheart bodice with darts with a pattern for a shift dress that had full colorblocked pieces around the shoulders to get the straps. It wasn't hard to make but it did take a long time to hem all the skirts.

Personal Thoughts:

This was made for a music-themed Halloween party at work and I'm glad I made it!! I love Marina and the Diamonds' music but her aesthetic is so fun and costumey and kind of kitschy while still being princessy and glamorous. This is a mess of organza but I loved wearing it.
