Construction Details:

So this isn't at all screen accurate like I've done with my other period drama costumes. In an effort to save time and money, this is more of an inspired by outfit so I know it's very inaccurate for both the show and the time period. A co-worker gifted me the purple dress, which she had found at a thrift store. Its original purpose I do think is for historical reenactment (of what time period, I'm not 100% sure). I seam ripped the middle seam and re-hemmed the front to make it open. The underskirt is my Sansa underskirt. The fichu is a a coverlet that I've fixed the lace up on (it was also a gifted item that had had some of the lace removed, so I replaced it from other areas). The sleeves of the coverlet were removed then added to the dress' sleeves as a ruffle. The original buttons were replaced.

Personal Thoughts:

Caroline and Dwight are my faves on Poldark :) I did a Poldark Party at work and wanted to be Caroline for it.

Styling Notes

This is a Glinda Classic from Arda in color Ash Blonde CL-053 that was basically pulled into a loose pony tail with a Hairbun Classic on the back with the sides pulled out a little for volume, and one curl handing out to be the style of the time period.
