About this Costume
- Construction Details:
This costume was originally started in 2014, but I never finished it. I ran into a snag with the boot covers and was really unmotivated to find a better way of doing them until now.
I made the bikini top and bottom and applied gold metallic fabric paint for the designs. I also made the hood/cloak, collar, and wristlets using black satin and gold spandex for the piping, with more gold paint designs. The leggings and fins were made with a red/orange spandex, wire, and black vinyl for the spines. The hip plates are black Worbla decorated with gold fabric paint and adhere to the fins with magnets. And the boot covers are originally yellow spandex, masked off and spray painted black, then filled in with day-glo white/yellow/orange and red paint!
I absolutely love this costume! All of Ellen's cloaks are awesome and I can't wait to make more!
