About this Costume
Construction Details:
So I might have finished constructing this cosplay in a crowded JW Marriot hotel room Thursday night of AX *cough*(I essentially made about 70% of my Dark Links cosplay as well) however if I had finished it on time it would still have been a difficult feat. Constructing the shield(s) was a lengthy and grueling process. The symbols had to be painstakingly and meticulously cut out of cardstock before applying it to the cardboard base (I am a budget cosplayer :) ). The shin/arm guards were worbla lined and both tunics were sewn with double layers of fabric. The shoulder armor was created using thick craft foam spray painted and lined with the crest design. The easiest part of this cosplay was the applying the chianmail and sewing the belt/ sword straps as I had a previous Skyward Sword Link cosplay pattern to follow.
Personal Thoughts:
Currently my favorite active cosplay! I've loved the Legend of Zelda series since I've played Ocarina of Time on my N64 when I was a wee lad. This cosplay is high maintenance, but I love the energy and popularity that comes with such a classic, well loved character. I love that kids, teens and adults alike enjoy my cosplay and always have nice things to share about their love of the franchise. I will always have an active cosplay of Link around as long as I am cosplaying! <3 <3 <3
