Camera + Camera Bag - Personal Thoughts:
- When Carly first showed up in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, I instantly fell in love. Here was a Yu-Gi-Oh! female character I could relate to: an unsuccessful but passionate reporter who enjoyed celebrating other people's achievements and who had an inexplicable attachment to Jack Atlas. I loved her humor, but even more, I loved her heart. Carly probably isn't one of the most recognizable characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, but she is the one I feel the closest bond to. I realize that, of course, her Dark Signer outfit would make for a more eye-catching cosplay, but I decided to stick with her regular clothing due to my lack of sewing skills. However, that doesn't mean this Carly will be just ordinary... she'll have something special hanging around her.

- Styling Notes
- At first, I wasn't planning on doing a wig for this cosplay, since my hair color/length is close enough to Carly's. However, I wanted to somehow replicate Carly's distinctive bangs without butchering my own bangs, so when Arda Wigs announced their big Black Friday sale, I ordered a Long Silky Jareth in Seaweed. (Arda's Long Classic Jareth in Mirkwood Green would probably have worked as well, but I went with Silky because I wasn't planning on doing much styling, plus the Silky was 50% off.) Because I don't own a wig head, I ended up styling the wig while wearing it, which I do NOT recommend doing, especially if the bangs are initially so long that you can't really see what you're doing. I accidentally snipped off a bit too much on one side of the wig, so the bangs don't flow as naturally into the rest of the hair, but fortunately, Carly's glasses sort of cover up that area.
