Construction Details:

This tie-back Regency day dress was completely hand sewn and cleanly finished by hand. The fabric is a pretty Indian block print cotton and is very fine (near sheer). The motif edges were sewn down the skirt side seams as per extant gowns. I decided to go with 3/4 sleeves instead of long or puff sleeves since this is more of a house dress (aka what was worn daily at home, aka comfy).

The blue sash is a random scrap of fabric I grabbed for pictures. I've since made a matching sash using the edge motif. The dress is worn over Regency undergarments: chemise, stays, and bodiced petticoat.
