Construction Details:

Talk about a labor of love ??? when I saw the redesign for Aurora I knew I had to make it, but with one big difference - it had to be blue. For me, she is in Blue 90% of the movie ~ she falls asleep in Blue, she wakes up in Blue, etc. The skirt had 8 panels and is made from a modified out of print pattern I special ordered. The bodice was from a favorite corset pattern which I extended in the back to make the sleeves sit proper. The fabric for the printed part of the skirt and bodice is a beautiful blue brocade with Casa satin for the in between darker blue panels. The collar and hip triangles are princess satin that both use interfacing to keep their shape. I used piping to give detail in the bodice and on the triangles. The jewelry is hand sculpted and uses a mixture of large stones and blue rhinestones to mimick the park. I used mesh on the sleeves, which is great cause it's a lot more breathable! Styling Notes

I cut the bangs and put them into 3 sections. I put each into the correct shape and helped it stay with hairspray.
