Construction Details:

This whole outfit was a heck of a lot of work! I got a great lesson on drafting from a more experienced cosplayer and learned how to take patterns and modify them. I did two mock ups - based on the cosplayers advice - and boy am I glad I listened! It's tons and tons of fabric to make a for a super gathered skirt. I added horse hair at the bottom so that it would give the Clamp ruffles. I made poofy sleeves and used heavy interfacing for the collar. Every part of this is hand made - including my staff! The staff was made out of PVC piping, different parts and a lot of worbla - I nearly burned my hands off sculpting parts! The wings I got help from Coffee Queen Cosplay for drafting the pattern and the PVC base. I then figured out a way to use car vinyl to make the wings. I used glitter paint and a gold trim to give the wings a 3 dimensional look. The stars are all sculpted out of worbla and all the fabric is casa satin. The shoes were painted with Nulife shoe color!

Personal Thoughts:

This was my first 'big' project. I had to retire it due to medical issues, but she'll always be extremely special in my heart.
