Construction Details:

Bodysuit:
nI made it using a green and yellow swimsuit spandex. The yellow is doubled up to ensure its opacity. I drafted the pattern out and made the lines in the pattern where the yellow turns to green.
nThe collar had black piping for the trim.
nThe black X symbol and lines are black vinyl top stitched on.
nThere is an invisible zipper in the back.
nThe boots are attached right into the bodysuit. This makes them stay up in place and not slip, a problem that generally occurs with boot covers that go over the knee.
nThe boot top flap has a very thick interfacing in it to prevent it from drooping.
nThe gloves are made of the same yellow spandex.

nBomber Jacket:
nThe jacket is made of brown synthetic leather. I lined it with brown satin lining.
nThe collar has craft foam in to create the ridges hers has in the cartoon.
nThe X patches are made of vinyl and top stitched onto the sleeves.
nThe jacket belt is the same faux leather with the heavy duty craft foam for structure. I attached an old belt buckle to the end to make it look more like a belt.

nBelt and Headband:
nThe belt was an older brown belt I had that was too large. I took the buckle off and replaced it with a custom made X one that is made of leather and painted.
nThe head band is a black piece of jersey knit fabric sewn into a tube, turned inside out then both ends sewn.

nWig
nThe wig is The Five Wits wig ???Tag Mutant Sugah Slam???
nThe original wig only had a bit of white in the front so I added a white curly ponytail clip to the crown. I took it off the claw clip and flattened it out, then sewed it onto the top of the wig.

Personal Thoughts:

I absolutely love the 90's X-Men cartoon! As a kid, Rogue was always my favorite character! I loved the fact she could fly and had super strength. She was also a great member of the team and always had her other team mates backs. I loved the yellow/green suit she wore paired with her signature auburn/white hair. I knew this costume would eventually happen so when I stumbled upon the correct Kelly green spandex, I knew it was time to finally make a Rogue costume.
