Construction Details:

Erg. Where to start? It was my first time making a vest and actually using a half-circle skirt pattern at the time, but all in all, it was quite fun to create.
-For the cape, the golden knobs are created with a circular piece of Balsa wood and a thin metal dome-shaped piece that I glued to the Balsa wood and spray painted them both gold. I drilled the Balsa wood first with two holes and sewed it on to the rectangular piece of the cape (that part is created out of craft foam, covered with cloth and bias tape).
-Other than using a half-circle skirt pattern for the skirt, everything else was free-handed. I used my own clothes as base patterns and worked from there.
-Prop was created with the help of my sister. She's the craftsman between the both of us so she really helped me out!

Personal Thoughts:

This cosplay was a DREAM COME TRUE. The Golden Sun series is my favorite video game series of all time. When I first played GS2 back in 2004, I wasn't into cosplay yet, but I remember looking at Jenna's outfit and in passing thought, I said to myself, "Yeah, I'd never make that, I don't even know how to sew."
9 years later, and I found myself becoming the character I've loved throughout all 3 games.
