About this Costume
Construction Details:
I made the pants and mantle out of suede, and for those of you looking for a great selection of suede colors I suggest you check out Hancock Fabrics, trust me. The blouse and the ruffle are peachskin, I've made at least three variants of this kind of blouse at this point so that was cakewalk. The little corset has lots of fun details. Spring steel boning, vinyl mock-belts, two-toned heart gems cast from resin, and metallic piping at the bottom. The hip armor is just painted vinyl slapped onto a little velcro belt.
Personal Thoughts:
I absolutely was not going to cosplay as Maribelle. It would have been too predictable. I've already made things like this. There were going to be other characters that I'd rather cosplay as. I was going to break my mold! So here I am, cosplaying as Maribelle.

Styling Notes
This whole project was just a bunch of deja vu. I learned from what I did when I styled Kihel and used chair cushion foam instead of styrofoam because it's easier to cut and shape and have a little bit of pliability, which was nice. I purchased Arda extensions and some pretty basic extensions from Sally's Beauty Supply because Epic didn't have the extensions for this color in stock at the time. Thankfully, everything matched up okay. Each foam curl has a thick wire through it. I used Elmer's spray glue to wind extensions around the curls and attached the curls to the wig just under the bases of the ponytails I pulled it into. Ponytails were then wound around the curls to hide the separation and smoothed into place with clear caulk. I have to wear wig tape with this wig because it's ridiculously back heavy and kind of hard to move in.
Wig Review
Epic Cosplay wigs are super silky and smooth! That's not necessarily a quality I needed for this project since it's such a stiff style, but that is a dream for characters that have long hair that's worn down.
