Construction Details:

The crown is probably the most successful part of the costume. I personally have yet to see a nicer one than mine. I purposely made it thinner than the original design because I think it's nicer. Materials used were gold metal wire, gems, gold cardboard and resin (to make it solid!).

The rest of the costume is standard dress patterns with a giant tutu under. The dress has an elastic at the hem and is folded over the tutu to look more like the original design of the dress.

The shoes were painted and a cute ribbon was added.

Personal Thoughts:

This is one of my favourite costumes to wear! It's so much fun to wear such a recognizable character and walking around convention centres and taking pictures with all the other Adventure Time cosplayers. I also love when little kids recognize me and I love being a princess!

I chose this particular variation of her costume instead of her default outfit because I think it's much cuter and offers a more flattering silhouette. This was also my first time working with any kind of body paint. It still needs work but I don't think it was too bad. As a last minute comfy costume, this is my go to outfit.
