About this Costume
Construction Details:
The entire dress was made from scratch. There are tons of miniscule details all over the dress including well over 200 Swarovski crystals, all heat setted by hand. The top layer of the dress is made from a textile I created--purple polyester satin with two layers of lace sewn on top. The purple skirt underneath was four yards, pleated down to the size of my waist. (roughly 25'')

There are machine embroidered spider lillies on the costume that I commissioned from a friend, but I designed them myself. I then hand sewed them on. The hourglass on the bodice was cast in clear epoxy resin.
Personal Thoughts:
I love designing. So when I saw the opportunity to design my own costume based on the image of Homulilly from Madoka portable, I was happy. I love the idea of taking something seemingly inhuman and crafting it into a human form.
