Construction Details:

Base of Blitzball is a child's soccer ball. I took ping pong balls, cut them in half, added lightweight clay into them [to prevent denting] and glued them onto the soccer ball. I then covered the soccer ball in several layers of gesso.

rnI painted using several acrylic paints. I guessed on the script design on the ball using various reference photos.

rnThe ball is lightweight and actually can be thrown around a bit.
