About this Costume
Construction Details:
Princess Tomoyo has, by far, the most pieces of material I've ever used. Like I would literally need three red gems, but needed to buy giant bags of gems to do so.

Anyways.

Princess Tomoyo essentially wears three kimono. The two inner kimono are regular kimono (I was lazy and cut the bottom half off both of them and didn't add sleeves to the under one). The purple collar is literally a purple strip of fabric, which is how regular kimono add the collar as well. Now the outer kimono was impossible because no kimono flows the way it does in the art. I made a circle skirt for the bottom and strategically placed a rectangle for the top part. The inner kimono were made of cotton with a sakura pattern. I have no idea what the outer kimono were made of.

The headpiece was made by my brother and his shop teacher. They happened to have a laser cutter, so I made the designs and they cut the design onto acrylic plastic. My dad and I spraypainted and glued the headpiece together. All the danglies were tied and glued together.
Personal Thoughts:
Princess Tomoyo has been a dream cosplay for years. I finally found the motivation and funds to make her. She took two weeks of late nights to really pull together, but it was so much fun cosplaying her with Rorasorus cosplay and Caizah cosplay.
