Construction Details:

Mostly store bought. Pants found at a thrift store and hemmed into capris. Hoodie store bought and unaltered. I stenciled the graphic onto the red t-shirt with contact paper and paint. It was interesting aiming for the 'distressed' look. Converse shoes found on ebay and replaced the laces with yellow ones. Wig I got on EBay for $10 and had to tame it to not totally take over my face.

Personal Thoughts:

I loved the movie very much, but never quite reached the "I gotta cosplay this" notion, though the inkling had always kind of been there. It wasn't until my friend dem-hips decided to do Gogo for Katsucon 2015 that I jumped on board. I got Hiro done early and wore him to Magfest as well.

rnI'm surprised at how well this ended up going, tbh. I wasn't very confident about how good I'd look, but there are a lot of pictures where I think "WOW I'M CUTE" and with the makeup don't even think I look like myself. Lots of people wanted to pinch my cheeks and I was like "no stahp."
