About this Costume
Construction Details:
Bodice: I made the bodice TWICE!!!! FULL EMBROIDERY TWICE! lol I made my bodice out of velveteen and twill since if you hoop velveteen it doesn't get hoop burn! :D I spent over 20 hours embroidering the front and back and I am SO proud of it!!!! I used a rusty green cotton bias tape for the edging (although if I redid it I would used dupoini silk) and I used dark green satin for the sleeves with custom dyed lace. It also closes on the side with a zipper :D

Skirt: I bought the fabric on spoonflower from Aimee :D ITS AMAZING!!! And there is space enough to do box pleats as well!!! I'm not crazy about the type of fabric but I love it enough :D If I redid it I'd either do cotton sateen or Cotton Silk :D

Underpinnings: I currently use a three hoop skirt under my skirt but I've ordered a hoopless petticoat so it isn't so huge! And I bought white tights from Hot Topic and dyed them green :D

Shoes: The Shoes are from wal mart and had the perfect shape but sadly were grey. So I painted them black, painted some ribbon (I couldn't find the color I wanted) glued the ribbon to the shoes, and painted the design on the shoes :D

Necklace: I got the necklace from Angel-Secret and it is AMAZING!!! I LOVE it so much!

Hair Comb: The hair comb is just a spray painted hair accessory from Walmart attached to a comb and ribbons hot glued to it! *a more screen accurate one is being made for me*
Personal Thoughts:
Okay so Once I saw this gown on screen I immediately fell in LOVE! The Color the style the ROSEMALING!!! It was love at first sight! It immediatley became my favorite princess dress so I HAD to make it!
