Construction Details:

I had horrible luck with the first two season outfits for Aichi so I was kind of dreading making this one. I originally wanted to make the purple jacket version of this one but the white one was more appealing to me so I decided on that. I randomly went fabric shopping and I found a pink knit that I liked, which is how this costume came about. Sure, the pink isn't accurate but I would rather use a colour I like anyway.

I made the turtle neck first. I already had experience making Aichi's turtle neck twice (first one kind of failed due to lack of material). I learned from my mistakes and made this one. I made sure to have extra fabric in case I screwed up since it happened with the first two in different ways. I'm actually quite pleased with this turtle neck and don't plan to remake it.

Jacket was the last thing I had to make. The panels for this jacket doesn't really make sense. Good thing I kept checking my references otherwise I would have made the back wrong. Everything was straight forward until I had to figure out a way to do the front black panels with the bias tape. So essentially the black panels are separate pieces with the bias tape holding it down to the main body of the jacket. I didn't have that many issues finishing this jacket up surprisingly. I'm actually quite happy with the results.

Personal Thoughts:

Vanguard still has a strong hold on my life right now, playing the actual game, watching the anime and cosplaying from it. So I figured more costumes will happen. Again, once I decide on a character, I tend to make almost all the outfits for them. LOL
