About this Costume
Construction Details:
Everything was made and painted by myself except for the black undershirt and the cape (which was a commission).

The skirt and bodice were altered from regular patterns, though the bodice pattern had to be altered very heavily. Even though it required the most work, I'm sad to say that it was the worst part of my costume.

Though you can't see it very well in pictures, I made the shoes as movie-accurate as I could by painting them and trimming the edges with gold!

The wig is what I'm most proud of! I haven't really done much wig styling so this was an experiment all around. It started as a Berto from matchwigs, but I'm sure you can hardly tell! I couldn't figure out how to achieve that roll without some aide, so here's my process. I rolled some quilt batting into a tube, sewed that together, painted it to match the wig better, sewed it into the wig, wrapped hair around it and hot-glued as I went. I was worried to wear it but with the help of toupe clips, it's my most comfortable wig.
Personal Thoughts:
Though I worked very hard on the costume, there were a few parts that were rather half-assed. I would like to re-do some pieces if I have time!

It's by far my favorite to wear though! I made a lot of people happy!
