Construction Details:

I used a culmination of the many sailor fuku techniques I've learned over the years to churn this fuku out more quickly than ever!! I used Zan's bodysuit pattern for the first time on this fuku, such a wonderful resource that I highly recommend!!

The sailor collar and skirt were patterned by me using the methods I cover in my Sailor Fuku tutorial (download here: http://sparklepipsi.com/tutorials/SparklePipsi_FukuTutorial.pdf).

The bows were made using my bow pattern (download here: http://sparklepipsi.com/tutorials/SparklePipsi_SailorBowTutorial.pdf).

I made bootcovers so the red would be an exact match to my bow fabric.

Personal Thoughts:

My quickest fuku to date, I pulled this one together in less than 5 days to wear for the exciting Classic Sailor Moon redub/bluray release announcement at Anime Central!! It was an honor to be asked to represent Sailor Moon as the official cosplayer for such an important event; my costume even had to be approved my Naoko-sensei herself!

Even though I wore this costume only once (and only for a very short time at that) I'd already like to remake many parts of it using the techniques I used for my most recent Sailor Venus fuku, namely the skirt, collar, and glove rolls. I'd also like to get a couple buns from Arda to remake my odangos! Since I had to sell my old Sailor Moon fuku, I’d really like to keep and perfect this one!!

Styling Notes

The wig was a combination of a Chibi and two curly clips in Light Blonde 013 from Arda Wigs.
