Construction Details:

The dress is a simple one-shouldered princess seamed number with an invisible zipper closure. The belt was the trickiest part with all the mitered corners, but I'm happy with how it came out. The pink fabric is a funky embroidered lace backed onto fabric, it was from a fabric swap (thanks Tikki!) I made all the pom-poms for my costume and Lizzy's. We sacrificed several faux flower branches for the trim, hat, bracelets and shoes.

Since we were making these costumes a few states apart I shared all the patterns and details on a google doc. We went shopping together for the main fabrics.

Personal Thoughts:

I grew up watching the Godzilla movies with my mom, and I always loved Mothra's fairies. Making this costume was such a dream come true.
