About this Costume
Construction Details:
Really, the best way to sum up anything with the construction of this costume was to make it initially pretty - and then scuff, stain, and tear it apart. Thrall is a nomadic wanderer with the Earthen Ring at this point in his career, so he's going to get dirty. It adds a sense of realism, too.

Also, the prop is the LARP toy version of Doomhammer, made by Blizzard. I simply repainted it. It was more cost efficient, and it was on sale at the time.
Personal Thoughts:
I decided that I wanted to make Thrall after BlizzCon 2011. It took 2 years worth of gathering the right materials and all the leather pieces. Otherwise, the costume was fairly easy to make via pattern.rnrnThe best part about this costume was all of the distressing that went into it. So much mangling of feathers, leathers, and cloth, oh my! The most tedious aspect was the body paint. It took about 3.5 hours to complete the look. rnrnEverything was made by me, aside the prop. It was the LARP toy prop that I simply repainted - but even a quick new paint job made it stand out really well.
