About this Costume
Construction Details:
My blog posts for this costume: Mimori revolution, start! and Mimori Revolution, senbatsu!

My first forage into idol cosplay! This turned out to be the most difficult thing I've ever sewn... because that is my weakest cosplay skill...

I used the pattern of an actual suit jacket and modified it by adding long tails and the cuffs. Melvinopolis had a pattern she custom made for these costumes, but since I had never put together a jacket, I had to use the sewing instructions from an actual pattern to pull myself through. For this reason, our lapels are different and my waist is too lose.

The skirt was relatively easy, I'm just irked that the plaid pattern should be laid horizontally rather than diagonally, but I would've wasted a ton of fabric to get it that way.
Personal Thoughts:
I love idol shows and idol culture. This show got me hooked on the real AKB48. My #1 girl is Acchan, she is the golden idol of this generation. I've been wanting to cosplay from an idol show for the longest time, but all the girls are always so young and cute and moe, I felt I was ill-suited to pull it off.

I chose Mimori because she's the most womanly of the bunch, and those pheromones! I'm super excited at the possibility of being part of a huge AKB0048 group!

I don't wish to anyone the pain and suffering that it was wearing the boots for this costume... maybe I ordered my shoes too small, but jeeeezzz.
Also, why is it so impossible to find plain white tights to fit my large THIGHSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!???

Out of the bag, it could be used for this character without additional styling, I just wanted to go the extra mile.
