Construction Details:

This costume was fairly easy to make. The skirt was made out of poplin that looked cream in some lights and khaki in others (which was good because I'm terrible at deciding colors!)The jacket and stripes on the jacket were made out of a jersey knit. The pink lining on the inside of the jacket was not intentional, but I really liked the effect it gave. The jacket was sewn with pockets. The hardest thing in my opinion was the ribbing on the cuffs because I sometimes have trouble cutting jersey in straight lines. Cat "eyes" and symbol on jacket were painted on with fabric paint. Button down shirt and backpack were borrowed from my sister, flanitor.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was so much fun to make. I didn't have to constantly put my bag down in pictures and the jacket had pockets! Plus cosplaying with my friends (Akihamu on tumblr) was so much fun to do!
