Construction Details:

For the kimono, I used a kimono-style bathrobe pattern and altered it. I used red and black twill, and stenciled the designs on myself with fabric paint.

The leggings were made without a pattern. The fabric I used was a red jersey knit.

The new obi I have is made out of cotton broadcloth, which was quilted with the diamond pattern seen in the character's 3D model on the show.

The boots were bought ((very expensively)) from the company Pleaser. I wanted to use flat thigh-high boots, since there's no in-between with heels for thigh-high boots. It's either no heel or too much heel.

Personal Thoughts:

This is one of my favorite costumes. I finished it in August of 2012, and I've been improving on it and wearing it to cons very frequently ever since.

I only have a few pictures which showcase the new obi I made for the costume in August 2013...but come Spring, I'll be taking a new set of photos with the new obi.
