Construction Details:

The base top was a v neck sweater from my closet. I made the sailor collar, tie, and cuffs with assistance. My friend's mother made the skirt because I was woefully unskilled enough to do pleats just yet, plus since she was helping her daughter make her costume as well, we all gave up and took the easy way out.

The skirt is elastic and gathers enough to give a minor illusion of a pleated skirt. It's made out of dark green felt.

When I wore a wig it was from a Halloween store, and when I wore loafers elsewhere than Momocon 2006 they were from my father's closet and gave me horrible blisters.

Personal Thoughts:

This was my first costume that I made for myself (even if I had outside help for half of the construction). My friend and I were 14 and decided to be InuYasha and Kagome for Halloween in 2005. I wore it about four more times before retiring it to my closet. I would like to do a remake someday.
