Construction Details:

Though it could have been fun to have taken a "realistic" approach to this costume, I loved that SS's art style was this sort of fusion between the "realistic" Zelda style and the toon style, so I went for a more cartoony look with brighter colors.

The dress, flag, and sailcloth are made from poplin I found at SAS. All applique details were done by fusing satin (wrong side up) to Heat N Bond, then using a wood burning tool to "cut" out the shapes. They are stitched on with a simple top stitch to keep the look flat and clean.

Gems and the medallion on the belt were made by layering craft foam, filling in with Model Magic / spackling, sealed with gesso / wood glue, sanded, painted.
