About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume has so many layers! I have the pants, the tunic, the jerkin and then a "fur" coat.

The tunic is out of twill fabric and is sewn with a finished seam. I then added grommets to the neck part to make the lacing bit like in the picture.

The jerkin is out of a smooth corduroy that I found on clearance! It also has just finished seams (rather than my usual french seams) and still needs the armor bits and the design hooks put in.

The fur coat I am super proud of since I have never sewn with any type of fur whether it be real or faux! I want to re-do the neckband since the first one is a severe rush job.

The boots are actually boots covers over my link boots! I still need to make the toe armor for them.
Personal Thoughts:
I have never had so much fun in a costume before like I did Thorin! It was great running around as the dwarf prince! There are still A LOT of things I need to finish on this costume though, such as remaking bracers and belt buckle, actually finishing the armor design bits on the sleeves of the jerkin and boots and so many other fiddly bits!
