Construction Details:

when i decided to make this dress i had originally planed on taking about two years to complete it. i made it in about 6 months. I had drafted the vest pattern and fully lined the final product. all the details on the vest are hand painted. the apron is hand painted and the embroidered. all the gold designs on the gloves and dress panels are all hand beaded. each panel took about 8 hours to bead while each glove took about 4 hours. the gold chain hem design is cut out of satin and after i attached it to the dress i hand beaded the edges. in order to get the right cut in the back i had to add a built in under-structure for chest support, which was easier said then done.

Personal Thoughts:

as soon as i played the game i knew that i had to cosplay Zelda. i had a love hate relationship with the dress as soon as i saw it, but i'm glade i made it!

i like how it turned out but it was a huge learning experience. i wouldn't mind doing it again.
