About this Costume
Construction Details:
The jacket is made from white twill and gold bias tape (a lot of it left over from when I made Okita's Shinsengumi uniform for my boyfriend) and it was pretty simple, although I hated making those dumb rectangles on the front! lol I swore to myself I'm not making another shinsengumi-ish outfit for a while because of its tediousness. The scarf is made of some leftover shiny fabric from when I made Komugi/Koyori (Nurse Witch Komugi)'s bows. I had to buy the blue thigh-highs and white boots (they are so hard to find when you want them without heels!), and I already had the black shorts, belt (Kagura's lol) and sword, so it was really easy. I made this jacket a lot better than the first Shinsengumi jacket though, and the collar's interfaced so it actually stands better lol!
Personal Thoughts:
I only got to go to Dragon*Con for a few hours on Friday this year but I made a new costume for it anyway :P Mainly because I didn't know when I could fit this into my AWA schedule but I had a wig for it and it was easy to make.

Nobume is from Gintama, and she's one of the newest characters at this point so all the Gintama cosplayers I found and talked to at AWA didn't know who she was T_T Anyway, I didn't like her at first but I warmed up to her, realized I could use my Katsura wig and her outfit is pretty easy, so I decided to go for it. I love to cosplay Gintama cosplay any chance I get!

Since I was only there for so long I don't have any good pictures... T_T But I plan to rewear her soon! I need a doughnut as a prop next time so I don't have to look so serious, I just can't do serious faces!
