About this Costume
Construction Details:
I made this out of 4-way stretch vinyl, with a self-drafted pattern. The catsuit is actually a leotard and pants, since that seems to be how hers is actually constructed in many of the reference images I could find. This isn't a perfect method, since the crotch doesn't fit as well as I'd like, and the legs wrap around oddly (I think this is because I used only one seam on each leg, to get a smooth look on the outer side of my legs, so it pulls the fabric inward and shifts it around), but it otherwise works very well. The belt is made out of metal rings that I wired together, and some synthetic leather that I attached with buckles to the backside. Various references have the belt as a thong or as simply a belt, so I went with simply a belt, though I may add the thong strap later. There is a double line of piping up each sleeve, going with a reference I found and liked, and zig-zag piping from the bottom of the leotard up to the bottom of the bust, like the odd zig-zag seams in the only reference image of the front of her catsuit that seems to exist.

Have I mentioned yet that every reference image tends to be radically different?

This wasn't a particularly difficult cosplay to make, though it was my first time using 4-way stretch vinyl, and my first catsuit.
