Construction Details:

I got a pattern and adapted it pretty much. I butchered the sleeves but it was a learning experience. I LOVE this character and the series so I wanted to make it seem like the characters costume stepped right out of the screen. So I used a very expensive poly/velvet mix for the fabric. Was easy to work with too. I also bought pricy gold piping for the trim and got fancy buttons. He is an aristocrat and I wanted fabric to match. XD I finsihed this the morning of the con. I said I wouldn't do it again but of course I always wait till the last min. I also used interfacing for the collar. AND its still standing up right!

Personal Thoughts:

Oh this costume. This was my first HAND MADE costume coming back into cosplay. I had never really sewn anything like this before. I had always had help, but I had 0 this time. It was a wonderful learning experience.
