Construction Details:

I illustrated the fabric design for the center skirt panel and bodice in Photoshop and had it printed at Spoonflower. The skirt panel was great, the bodice still needed to be dyed to achieve the right shade of purple ( ALL about complimenting shades! ).

The bodice and blouse is currently one piece which I made for functionality and quick easy-on/off...but I screwed up the zipper and can't get into it myself. And the front is too flat. I plan on remaking the blouse and bodice as separate pieces, as they should be, with a better fit for Dragon-Con.

All of the eyelets on the bodice and skirt designs are hand embroidered.

The skirt has a separate slip underneath as opposed to attaching lace to the skirt hem.

Personal Thoughts:

Rapunzel is my first favourite Disney Princess and I found her at the age of 24. Nothing wrong with that! I love this costume, the colours, the construction ( which is an ongoing work in progress ) and mostly, being the character.
