Construction Details:

I followed two tutorials I found on the internet to make the costume (it really just depended on which one explained a certain part of the costume in a way I understood. I need lots of pictures or else I'm completely lost!). Though I do want to remake the body suit eventually. It was my first time dealing with spandex, and although my first try wasn't horrible, I still wanna see how it would turn out a second time around. I used casa satin for the skirt and bows, and a hollow heart ornament for the heart brooch I filled with expanding foam. I hardest part was finding just the right shoes. It's crazy how difficult it was to find simple red pumps that aren't open-toes, or wedges, or platforms, or had giant bows/flowers glued to it. x_x;

Personal Thoughts:

Mars was one of my favorites ever since I was a little girl and would rush home after school to watch Sailor Moon. She has such a sassy attitude and fiery temper! Cosplaying her was so much fun I'm now looking forward to making the rest of her outfits.
