About this Costume
Construction Details:
Favorite Aspect: The headband. The Naruto in the group hates it, but I think it's SO CUTE. Also, going through the design process a hundred times to figure out how to make her look like Sakura, only, New Orleans style.

Least Favorite Aspect: The puff sleeves, and petticoat. It's SO ITCHY. Stupid cheap costume fabrics. Or maybe it was the shoes. They were really uncomfortable.

Easiest Task: Painting the feathers on the mask, and painting the gems and sticking them to the headband, even though it was tedious. Amazingly, laying down each individual sticker gem on the headband was super easy. XD;

Hardest Task: Making the tulle line up. I have never worked with tulle before, and even with two sets of helping hands by my side helping me, the tulle just would not cooperate with us.
Personal Thoughts:
I love Sakura so much, that I can't help but want to cosplay her more and more. Thankfully for things like doujinshi, you can have a ton of fun with her. For this one, there was a convention event in Louisiana that was called "M3", which is a Mardi Gras Cosplay Masquerade. I was invited to be in a Mardi Gras version of Team 7 to be a Judge, so, I had to make a Mardi Gras Sakura.
