Construction Details:

Top - I overlaid laser cut spandex over metallic spandex for the main 'body' of the top. I basted it together at the edges before serging it up so it wouldn't slide around. The sleeves were a troublesome thing! I used nude mesh as the base, and carefully pattened the custom-made diamond cut spandex over it, and did a topstitch.

Shorts - Straightforward and super easy to make, made out of two-tone metallic spandex.

Hat - spandex over a custom-made hat, with model magic for the spikes!

Armbands - Straightforward and super easy to make, made out of two-tone metallic spandex.

Shoe covers / leggings - I made the covers by forming them over a boot, and taking measurements for my legs so they would have a tight fit. The top portion is actually achieved by using flesh tone mesh, making a pair of tights, and sewing on the 'diamond' spandex to it, and then attaching the covers to that. The shorts go over them.

Personal Thoughts:

Annasui is one of my favorite characters in JoJo! I wanted to make this costume very dramatic and use very bold, shocking colors, as Part VI in particular was very colorful. Stone Ocean has some of the best choices for costume making! Though this was by far the most challenging of the JoJo costumes, because of the overlaying of spandex and all of the top stitching. x_x I hate diamonds now. Also, the adhesive I initially used gunked up my machine like no one's business so I put the costume in a corner for a while out of vengance. Took forever to clean the poor machine and de-gunk it. Note to self, never again use that stuff on MESH spandex. Yeah. Kinda my fault.
